Overview
Look from the side. In the line.
Solder joints under components hide in a vertical X-ray view. The RMX3000 tilts the view by up to 70° and rotates it through 360°, so hidden joints become visible.
It inspects printed circuit boards, connectors, solder joints and electronic assemblies in 2D and 3D, in the line, with automatic scanning and material handling.
For complete layer-by-layer data of large boards, the RMPCT5500 planar CT is the better fit.
Features
Angles that reveal.
Tilt and rotate
Reach the hidden joint. A five-axis platform tilts by ± 70° and rotates through 360°.
Micrometre detail
Resolve the smallest features. The open tube works from 10 to 160 kV with a 3 µm focus; spatial resolution is 1.5 µm at a geometric magnification of up to 2000 times.
A closer look on demand
Separate overlapping features. The optional high-precision CT mode scans samples up to 100 × 300 mm and 0.5 kg in about three minutes.
See position and shape
Understand the defect in 3D. The optional virtual tomography mode shows the position, shape and size of internal details without surrounding structure in the way.
Runs automatically
Keep the line moving. Scanning and material handling are fully automatic, with detection algorithms specific to the product.
Stable over time
Rely on repeatable images. The open X-ray tube calibrates itself.
Versions
3 versions, one platform.
RMX3000
The base version of the tilted inline microfocus CT.
RMX3000H
The version described in the current data sheet, with transmission-type open tube.
RMCT3000
The laboratory version of the 3000 platform. Its figures follow with the data sheet.
